This amazing 6-day Uganda wildlife safari, gorilla, and chimpanzee trekking safari take you to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda’s mountainous far south-western, where you will have the opportunity to trek Mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to one of the richest ecosystems in Africa. Mountain Gorillas are some of the world’s most endangered apes. It is estimated that there are only about 880 left throughout the world. Almost half of them can be found in Uganda, with populations in neighboring Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. You will go on an amazing wildlife Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and a chimpanzee trekking in Kalinzu, a rain forest that forms part of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Our Driver/Tour guide will pick you up from Entebbe International airport or your hotel. You will set off for the journey to Bwindi with a stopover at the Uganda Equator for Photography and refreshments. You will have lunch in Mbarara town at any chosen hotel and then proceed to Bwindi arriving there late evening. You will have your Dinner at the Lodge and rest in preparation for Gorilla Tracking the next day.

You will have breakfast at 6:30 am. Head out with your packed lunch and proceed to a major experience,” gorilla tracking”. First, you will have a briefing at the park headquarters before the actual gorilla tracking activity. You will start the tracking as you penetrate the thick forest in search of the endangered mountain gorilla. The time is taken to find these apes will depend on their movement. The activity can range from 2-8 hours of movement. Trekking the Gorillas in the Bwindi is physically challenging and therefore is suitable only for reasonably fit people. After finding the Gorillas, you will spend an hour with these apes, and see how they feed and their characters. Later have lunch. Return to the Lodge for Dinner and overnight.

You will have an early breakfast at 6:30 am. Head to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha. This sector of Queen Elizabeth is well known for its Tree climbing Lions. You will pass through and have a game drive. Animals that can be sighted here are the famous tree-climbing lions, the Uganda Kob, Topi, elephants, and many more. You will then proceed to Kazinga channel for your accommodation at Mweya safari Lodge. You will have Lunch at the Hotel as well as Dinner and overnight.

You will wake up at 6:00 am and freshen up. You will have breakfast at 6:30 am. Head out for a wildlife game drive safari along the Queen’s Mile plus the Kasenyi plains. On this trail, you may see wildlife such as elephants, water bucks, lions, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs plus warthogs in addition to several birds. After the game drive, you will be transferred to the Lodge for Lunch and then to Mweya Peninsula for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel – a sanctuary of different bird species. About 80% of the wildlife in Queen Elizabeth national park can be found along this Channel, so the major animals to see are Buffaloes, Hippopotamus, Elephants, Antelopes, and a huge array of birds. After you will go back to the lodge for dinner, and an overnight stay.

Wake up very early morning prepared for the exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. Have breakfast at 6:30 am. The exercise begins at 8:00 am. Prior to the activity, you will get briefed by the guides and then proceed tracking/trekking in the rain forest. The climax of the activity will depend on where the chimpanzees have been sighted. It normally stretches 3-5 hours. In a bid to find them, you will not miss out on other primates including red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons as well as velvet monkeys. Tracking/trekking the chimps in the Forest is more physically challenging and therefore is suitable only for reasonably fit people. You will need to bring with you a rain jacket, jungle boots, long-sleeved wear, and long pants. After tiresome trekking of the chimpanzees, you will return for Lunch at the Lodge and relax the entire afternoon by the pool or taking a nap.

After breakfast at 6;30 am. Drive to Kampala via Fort Portal. You will have a stop over in Mubende for lunch. After Lunch you will proceed with the journey back to Kampala.
