Your 5 days’ Rwanda experiential safari is one of our most magical and most like safari as it gives a great encounter of the land of the a thousand hills. The safari will give you a great chance to do a canopy walk and chimpanzee trekking at Nyungwe National Park, a boat ride and visit different islands in the Kivu lake, gorilla trekking and experience of the Rwanda culture as you sum up your safari with us.

On arrival at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda, you will be received by one of our tour guides who will greatly welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will do a city tour to introduce you to the history and culture of this country of a thousand hills and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre where over 25000 Rwandese were buried. Early morning enjoy your breakfast and checkout of the hotel and drive heading to the western province, on your way visit the Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in Southern Province and later head for an en-route lunch. After lunch, you head to Nyungwe National Park for dinner and overnight stay at Emeraude Kivu Resort. Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Today, after your early morning breakfast, you will leave your hotel to experience the natural forest of Nyungwe well known for having 13 species of primates and transferred to the park for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. You will be entitled to one hour on finding the chimpanzees. After doing the chimpanzee trek, you will be transferred to Karongi along the Kivu Lake; with a fantastic view of the country unwinding rolling a thousand hills. Dinner and overnight at Cormoran Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch & dinner.

After early morning breakfast, we shall transfer you for a boat ride and visit different islands in Kivu Lake. During the boat ride, you will also be able to see a number of bird species such as the African darter, pied kingfisher, etc., and later head for lunch. After lunch, we head to Volcanoes NP, the home of mountain Gorillas and the golden monkeys through the panoramic views of the Lake Kivu shores for dinner and overnight stay at Le Bamboo Gorilla Lodge. After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters together with your packed lunch early enough to be briefed about the code of conduct while with the gorillas or Golden Monkeys. This will be followed by entering the forest for trekking; the experience is magical and quite challenging, as you move from one trail to another throw the thickets in search for these primates. Quite a number of bird species and other primates plus wildlife can be spotted along the way. After trekking, you return to the lodge for lunch and transfer you back to Kigali airport to catch up with your afternoon flight.
