The four days Uganda safari takes you to Kidepo valley national park, "the true African wilderness." The park has a large concentration of wildlife and the unique culture of the karamajongs. Kidepo valley national park is in the far northeastern corner of Uganda, bordering South Sudan and Kenya. It forms the farthest extreme remote, sparsely populated Karamoja region with 1,442 square kilometers. Kidepo valley national park offers breathtaking savanna scenery that ends on a rocky horizon. Tourists visit Kidepo valley national park to enjoy its beautiful landscape. The magical experience can not be any better anywhere.

Our driver/tour guide will pick you up from Entebbe International airport or hotel, and drive you to Kidepo Valley National Park. You will have a stopover in Gulu for lunch. Proceed to Kitgum and then to Kidepo via Karenga. The scenery between Kitgum, Karenga, and Kidepo is of rugged Mulongole Mountains that give excellent views of this area. You will arrive in Kidepo late evening, check in and have your dinner.

You will have breakfast at 6:30 am, then depart for an early morning game drive in the Narus Valley. This part of Kidepo has a large concentration of wildlife which include: Buffalo, antelope, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, hartebeests, and zebras. The lion rocks in this part of the park are known to be the habitat for Lions and leopards hence an area of concentration as the tour guide and ranger search for these cats. You will have several stops to allow you to take photographs of both wildlife and the scenery. Return to the lodge for lunch. Relax a bit as you enjoy the beautiful landscape of the disappearing Mulongole Mountains. You will go on an evening game drive in search of what you could have missed in the morning drive. Nocturnal animals also tend to come out in the evening. You may see cheetahs and leopards. You will then return to the lodge for dinner, and an overnight stay.

You will have breakfast at 6:30 am. Head out for a wildlife game drive in Kidepo Valley. The famous wildlife here is Jackson heartbeats and elephants. You will cross River Kidepo, a seasonal river that may have piles of sand during non-rainy seasons, and proceed for a non-flying bird known as an ostrich drive, commonly sighted after the river; your tour guide and ranger will take you through their channel trucks. Please note that this part of Kidepo is a semi-arid desert. It is a woodland with scanty vegetation hence the possibility of encountering a few tsetse flies. An insect repellent will come in handy. You will also take a nature walk to the Kanongorok hot spring, a feature good for a stretch of your legs. You will return to the lodge for Lunch at 1:30 pm. Later you will visit one of the nearby communities to learn more about the karamajong people. You will later go back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.  Accommodation: Kidepo savannah lodge

You will have breakfast at 6:30 am. head out for a journey back to Entebbe International airport for your flight to the next destination, your hotel in Kampala. You will have lunch en route in Gulu town. You will reach Kampala very late in the evening. End of the safari.
