This 3- days Uganda gorilla tracking takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable national park in far south-western Uganda. It has almost half of the world’s mountain gorilla population with a maximum number of 500 mountain gorillas that are split into 37gorilla families. Mountain Gorillas are some of the world’s most endangered apes. It is estimated that there are only about 880 gorillas left throughout the World. You will also visit the Batwa community(pygmies) for a great experience. It is an added advantage to your gorilla trekking to have a chance to spend with the first people of the forest.

Our safari driver will pick you up from Entebbe international airport or your hotel, and transfer you to Bwindi impenetrable national park. will have a stopover at the Uganda equator for quick , souvenirs, snacks, and photographs, and continue with the journey to Mbarara where you will have your lunch. After lunch stretch the journey up to Bwindi, and check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early morning breakfast at 6:30 am, you will drive to the park headquarters for registration and join others for a gorilla trekking briefing about the dos and don’ts during your gorilla trek, you will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the gorillas, which can take you from half an hour to three-quarters of the day. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. On your trek, you are likely to spot other primates, birds, and rare tree species. After finding the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them before trekking back to the park headquarter. This is indeed an extraordinary feeling to be with these beautiful yet endangered creatures. You will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and thus contributing to the conservation of mountain gorillas. After you will go to one of the Batwa communities for a more exciting experience after you will go back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast at 6:30 am. You will check out and then drive back to Entebbe International airport for your flight to the next destination, or your hotel in Kampala. You will have lunch in Mbarara and proceed to the airport or hotel. End of the safari.
